Scope
This standard specifies the classification and marking, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of socket-type metal pipe fittings for building use (hereinafter referred to as "fittings").
This standard applies to fittings used in stainless steel or copper pipelines for transporting liquids with a nominal pressure not exceeding 1.6 MPa or gases with a nominal pressure not exceeding 0.4 MPa, and with a nominal size not exceeding DN300. The transported medium includes non-corrosive gases and liquids such as cold and hot domestic water, drinking water, gas, compressed air, and oil.
