Scope
This document specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking of composite sealing gasket materials, as well as their packaging, transportation, and storage. This document applies to non-metallic materials that are laminated on both sides of a metal core for the production of sealing gaskets (excluding materials containing asbestos). This document does not apply to metal rubber sheets and multi-layered composite non-metallic materials with metal cores.
