Scope
This document specifies the acceptance inspection method for coordinate measuring machines based on the performance indicators provided by the manufacturer, and also specifies the re-inspection method for users to regularly verify the performance of coordinate measuring machines.
The acceptance inspection and re-inspection methods specified in this document are only applicable to coordinate measuring machines with Cartesian coordinate systems that use optical distance sensors.
This document does not explicitly state whether it is applicable to coordinate measuring machines with non-Cartesian coordinate systems. With the consent of the parties involved, this document can also be used for coordinate measuring machines with non-Cartesian coordinate systems.
Note: This document is not designed for coordinate measuring machines with a measurement space significantly smaller than the size of the inspection ball. However, the inspection principles, standard devices, and procedures described in this document can be used for the acceptance inspection and re-inspection of such coordinate measuring machines by adjusting parameters such as the size of the standard device and the number of measurements.
