Scope
This document specifies the inspection methods for coordinate measuring machines equipped with multiple detection systems featuring contact/non-contact measurement modes.
This document is applicable to the following situations:
——When the manufacturer proposes to conduct acceptance inspections on the performance indicators of coordinate measuring machines and their probes;
——When the user proposes to conduct periodic reinspection inspections on the performance indicators of coordinate measuring machines and their probes;
——When the user proposes to conduct interim verification inspections on the performance indicators of coordinate measuring machines and their probes between two reinspection inspections.
This document covers coordinate measuring machines with a single detection axis and those with multiple detection axes with a small or large overlap in the measurement space, and is applicable to multiple detection systems equipped with different types of probes (for example, a combination of a vision probe and a contact probe, or a combination of two contact probes for different purposes).
The inspection methods described in this document are closely related to various errors introduced by coordinate measuring machines and detection systems, and are supplementary to the inspection of length measurement errors of coordinate measuring machines and detection errors of various detection systems. Before implementing this document, it is advisable to first inspect the length measurement errors of coordinate measuring machines and inspect the detection errors of various detection systems of coordinate measuring machines according to standards (such as ISO 10360-5, ISO 10360-7, or ISO 10360-8).
