Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and application conditions, on-site processing, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation, and storage for the thermal insulation of joints of directly buried heating pipelines in urban areas. This standard applies to the thermal insulation of joints of prefabricated directly buried hot water insulation pipes (hereinafter referred to as "hot water pipes") with a medium design pressure of less than or equal to 2.5 MPa, a medium temperature of less than or equal to 120 °C, and an accidental peak temperature of less than or equal to 140 °C, as well as the thermal insulation of joints of prefabricated directly buried steam insulation pipes with a steel outer protective pipe (hereinafter referred to as "steam pipes") with a medium temperature of less than or equal to 350 °C.
