Scope

This part of GB/T 34939 specifies the definition, characteristics, test classification, test methods, and judgment criteria for ±800 kV DC epoxy glass fiber solid core composite insulators (hereinafter referred to as insulators). This part is applicable to solid core composite insulators used in power equipment and devices of ±800 kV DC converter stations. Note: The insulators described here mainly withstand bending and torsion loads. In some special cases, the insulators may also withstand tensile or compression loads. This part is not applicable to insulators used in switchgear equipment, nor to epoxy glass fiber hollow core composite insulators. This part does not include selection requirements for insulators under special operating conditions.
