Scope

This document describes the test methods for routine tests performed by users of positron emission tomography (PET) devices to maintain proper operating conditions.
This document applies to positron emission tomography (PET) devices.
Currently, positron emission tomography (PET) devices typically include X-ray computed tomography (CT) equipment. In this document, PET/CT hybrid devices (hereinafter referred to as PET/CT) are common devices, and dedicated positron emission tomography (PET) devices without X-ray components are only exceptions. As part of quality control, the results of routine tests are compared with the reference data determined during or after acceptance testing. The acceptance testing method is specified in GB/T 18988.1. The quality control of the CT components in PET/CT devices is specified in GB/T 190425. The type testing of CT scanning devices is specified in GB 9706.1 and applicable parallel and dedicated standards.
