Scope

This standard specifies the terminology, pre-coating dimensions, performance requirements, and test methods for reusable polyamide locking layers (hereinafter referred to as locking layers) pre-applied on bolts, screws, and studs (hereinafter referred to as external thread fasteners). This standard applies to fasteners with threads that comply with GB/T 193, with thread sizes ranging from M3 to M18, coarse-tooth threads, and nominal thread diameters of d = 8 mm to 18 mm, as well as fine-tooth threads. This standard applies to external thread fasteners made of carbon steel or alloy steel that comply with the provisions of GB/T 3098.1, and to those made of stainless steel that comply with the provisions of GB/T 3098.6.
