YS/T 617.6-2007 Determination of chemical compositions and physical properties of aluminum powder, magnesium powder and Al-Mg alloy powder—Part 6:Determination of particle size distribution—Sieve method
Basic Information
Scope
This section specifies the methods for determining the particle size distribution of aluminum powder, magnesium powder, and aluminum-magnesium alloy powder using mechanical vibration sieving, wind-powered manual sieving, and ethanol sieving. The mechanical vibration sieving method is suitable for determining the particle size distribution of granular aluminum powder, magnesium powder, and aluminum-magnesium alloy powder that do not contain lubricants and whose particle sizes are all or mostly greater than 56 μm. The wind-powered manual sieving method is suitable for determining the particle size distribution of flake aluminum powder that contains a small amount of lubricants and whose particle sizes are all or mostly greater than 56 μm. The ethanol sieving method is suitable for determining the particle size distribution of flake aluminum powder that contains a small amount of lubricants and whose particle sizes are all or mostly less than 56 μm.
