Scope

This part of YY/T 0084 specifies the strength calculation of the main pressure-bearing components of rectangular pressure steam sterilizers with jacketed casings (hereinafter referred to as sterilizers) and related provisions. For those not specified in this part, they shall be governed by corresponding standards. This part is applicable to down-draft or pre-vacuum pressure steam sterilizers with a design pressure not exceeding 0.4 MPa, a sterilization chamber volume not exceeding 6 m3, and a sterilization chamber cross-sectional area not exceeding 1.2 m2.
