Scope

This document specifies the safety requirements for piles and other foundation construction equipment, including a list of major hazards, safety requirements and/or protective measures, verification of safety requirements and/or protective measures, and usage information, etc.
This document, together with GB/T 43746.1, covers all major hazards related to the entire service life of piles and other foundation construction equipment when used as intended or under reasonably foreseeable misuse conditions by the manufacturer (see Chapter 4).
This document applies to the design, manufacture, and use of piles and other foundation construction equipment. "Piles and other foundation construction equipment" include several different types of machines that perform the following construction tasks by drilling (with a rotational torque of not less than 35 kN·m), impacting, vibrating, pressing, pulling, or a combination of these techniques, or by any other means:
—— Setting and/or extracting vertical foundation components;
—— Improving soil quality through vibration and soil mixing techniques;
—— Setting and/or extracting vertical drainage facilities.
This document adds or replaces some requirements applicable to piles and other foundation construction equipment on the basis of the general requirements specified in GB/T 43746.1.
