GB/T 25684.12-2021 Earth-moving machinery—Safety—Part 12:Requirements for cable excavators

Scope

This document specifies the safety requirements for mechanical excavators, and stipulates all major hazards, dangerous states, and dangerous events associated with them when used in accordance with the manufacturer's specified purposes or under foreseeable reasonable misuse conditions (see Appendix A of GB/T 25684.1—2021); and prescribes technical measures to eliminate or reduce the risks caused by major hazards, dangerous states, or dangerous events during use, operation, and maintenance.
This document is used in conjunction with GB/T 25684.1 (which stipulates the general safety requirements for two or more earthmoving machinery families). The specific requirements of this document take precedence over the general requirements of GB/T 25684.1.
If it is expected to be used in conjunction with other working devices or auxiliary devices such as drilling rigs, piling and pulling equipment, and mobile equipment (such as tracks, walking legs, floating docks, and ships) or fixed chassis, this document also applies to this type of mechanical excavators, chassis, and upper structures. This document does not stipulate the specific hazards associated with the aforementioned additional equipment or auxiliary devices.
This document applies to mechanical excavators defined in ISO 6165.
This document does not apply to machines manufactured before the implementation of this document.
