Scope

This part of GB/T 6730 specifies the determination of the water-soluble chloride content in iron ore by the ion-selective electrode method.
This part is applicable to the determination of the water-soluble chloride content in natural iron ore, iron concentrate, pellet ore, and sintered ore. The determination range (mass fraction, calculated as chloride): 0.005% to 0.1%.
Note: Water-soluble chloride refers to the part of the chloride content in iron ore that is extracted, filtered, and extracted with aqueous solution under near-neutral conditions.
