Scope

This standard specifies the terminology definitions, guaranteed values, adjustment, operation, maintenance, and component requirements for screw expansion machines (sets).
This standard applies to screw expansion machines (sets) that handle mixed gas-water, saturated steam, or superheated steam with a working fluid temperature range of 120 °C to 300 °C, a pressure not exceeding 3.0 MPa, and an inlet-outlet pressure difference of no more than 1.5 MPa for the screw expansion machine.
Organic Rankine cycle screw expansion machines (sets) for non-water working fluids (such as low-boiling point working fluids) can also be used as a reference.
