Scope

This part of GB/T 12060 specifies the measurement methods for the electrical impedance, sensitivity, directivity pattern, dynamic range, and external influence of microphones used in sound systems for speech and music.
This part is applicable to all microphones used in sound systems for speech and music. However, it is also applicable to each audio channel of microphones with multiple channels, such as microphones for stereo or similar applications. This part is also applicable to embedded microphones and microphones with analog characteristics for digital audio output.
The microphones applicable to this part include all devices, such as transformers, preamplifiers, or other components that constitute a complete microphone, up to the output terminals specified by the manufacturer.
This part is not applicable to the measurement of microphones.
