Scope

This document specifies the method for establishing a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system model (referred to as the "HVDC electromechanical transient model") for use in electromechanical transient simulation and analysis of power systems, including data and information preparation, model establishment, and parameter verification.
This document is applicable to the modeling of HVDC transmission systems with a ±400 kV voltage level or higher, where each station has one pole consisting of a single or two 12-pulse converters connected in series. HVDC transmission systems with other voltage levels and different main circuit structures can refer to this document for implementation.
