Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of non-metallic gaskets (hereinafter referred to as gaskets) for shipboard flange connections according to GB/T 569, GB/T 2501, and JIS B 2220. This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of gaskets for flange connections in shipboard piping systems and their accessories, used for fuel oil, lubricating oil, seawater, drinking water, air, inert gases, and hot oil with a temperature not exceeding 250℃, as well as steam with a temperature not exceeding 260℃.
