Scope

This standard specifies the type, dimensions, technical requirements, and markings of Type 2 hexagonal nuts. This standard applies to Type 2 hexagonal nuts with thread sizes from M5 to M36, performance grades of 10 and 12, and product grades of A and B. Grade A is used for nuts with a diameter (D) of ≤M16; Grade B is used for nuts with a diameter (D) of >M16.
