Scope

This standard specifies the type, dimensions, technical requirements, and marking of Type 2 non-metallic inserts hexagonal lock nuts. This standard applies to Type 2 non-metallic inserts hexagonal lock nuts with thread specifications of M5 to M36, performance grades of 10 and 12, and product grades of A and B. Grade A is used for nuts with a diameter (D) of ≤16 mm; Grade B is used for nuts with a diameter (D) of >16 mm. Note: This nut is equivalent to GB/T 6175 plus the effective torque section.
