Scope

This part of GB/T 6187 specifies the type and size, technical requirements, and marking of Type 2 all-metal hexagonal flange face locking nuts.
This part is applicable to Type 2 all-metal hexagonal flange face locking nuts with thread sizes of M5 to M20, performance grades of Grade 8, Grade 10, and Grade 12, and product grades of Grade A and Grade B. Grade A is used for nuts with a diameter (D) of ≤16 mm; Grade B is used for nuts with a diameter (D) of >16 mm.
Note: This type of nut is equivalent to GB/T 6177.1 plus the effective torque section.
