Scope

This part of GB/T 15972 specifies the reference test method (RTM) for polarization mode dispersion (PMD) in single-mode fiber, and other test methods stipulate unified requirements for test devices, injection conditions, measurement procedures, calculation methods, and results.
This part is applicable to the inspection of the PMD characteristics of Class B single-mode fiber, both un-cabled and cabled, as specified in GB/T 9771.
