Basic Information
Scope
This document, in conjunction with GB/T 40926.1—2021, jointly specifies the performance requirements and test methods for face protectors (including face masks) in ice hockey.
The reasonable performance confirmed in this document is as follows:
a) Structure and coverage area;
b) Resistance to ice hockey impact performance;
c) Resistance to penetration performance;
d) Field of vision;
e) Geometric (visual) optical performance and acuity;
f) Transmission ratio and haze;
g) Marking and information.
This document is applicable to face protectors worn by the following personnel:
——Ice hockey players except goalkeepers;
——Related staff (such as referees).
Note 1: The requirements of the clauses take precedence over the graphics.
Note 2: The purpose of this document is to reduce the risk of injury to players' faces without compromising the competitive state and appeal of ice hockey.
