Scope

This document specifies the general requirements for head, face, neck, and body protective gear used in ice hockey (hereinafter referred to as protective gear).
This document applies to protective gear used in ice hockey, with the following requirements:
a) Terminology and definitions;
b) Harmlessness;
c) Ergonomics;
d) Test reports;
e) Permanent marking;
f) Product information.
Other parts of this document specify the performance requirements for protective gear used in ice hockey, which should be used in conjunction with this document.
