Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, and storage of biodegradable drinking straws (hereinafter referred to as straws). This document is applicable to straws made from biodegradable resins, as well as straws that are coated with, painted with, or compounded with biodegradable plastics in contact with food, and drinking straws prepared mainly from natural polymers. This document is not applicable to straws made purely from paper.
