本标准规定了采用四极杆电感耦合等离子体质谱仪（简称Q-ICP-MS)对样品中金属和部分非金属元素进行检测的方法原理、试剂和材料、仪器设备、样品要求、分析步骤及方法、结果报告和安全注意事项等内容和要求。
本标准适用于采用四极杆电感耦合等离子体质谱仪以液体和气体进样方式对样品中所含元素的定性、半定量及定量分析。
本标准不适用于固体直接进样方式。
