Scope
This document specifies the zinc diffusion layer system and process for steel fasteners using the thermal diffusion zinc-plating process to form a zinc diffusion layer (hereinafter referred to as the "zinc diffusion layer"), its corrosion resistance and grade, dimensional requirements and measurement, mechanical and physical properties and testing, marking of the fastener zinc diffusion layer system, ordering information, and storage conditions.
This document applies to M5 to M72 thermal diffusion zinc-plated threaded fasteners. Other steel fasteners can be used as a reference for application.
