Scope

This part of GB/T 13849 specifies the structure, mechanical and physical properties, electrical performance requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking and packaging of indoor communication cables with copper cores, polyurethane insulation, and polyurethane sheathing. This part is applicable to the manufacture, acceptance, and use of indoor communication cables with copper cores, polyurethane insulation, and polyurethane sheathing. The cables specified in this part can be used to transmit audio signals and digital signals at a rate of 2B+D and below in integrated services digital networks, as well as to transmit digital signals at a rate of 2,048 kbit/s or analog signals below 150 kHz. Under certain conditions, they can also be used to transmit digital signals at a rate of more than 2,048 kbit/s.
