GB/T 19436.1-2013 Electrical safety of machinery—Electro-sensitive protective equipment—Part 1:General requirements and tests
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 19436 specifies the general requirements for the design, manufacture, and testing of non-contact electro-sensitive protective equipment (ESPE) specifically used for detecting human bodies as components of safety-related systems. It is particularly important to ensure that the appropriate safety-related performance is achieved for its function and design requirements. Electro-sensitive protective equipment (ESPE) may include optional safety-related functions, the requirements for which are given in Appendix A. Specific requirements for the specific types of sensitive functions are given in other parts of GB/T 19436. This part does not specify the size or shape of the detection area, its arrangement in any particular application involving hazards, or what constitutes any mechanical hazardous state. It is limited to the function of ESPE and how it is connected to the machinery. When the data interface is used to control the optional safety-related functions of ESPE (Appendix A), this part does not specify special requirements. The requirements for these safety-related functions can be determined by referring to other standards (such as GB/T 16855.1, IEC 61508, IEC/TS 62046, and IEC 62061). This part may be relevant to applications other than human protection, such as protecting machinery or products from mechanical damage. In these applications, additional requirements may be necessary, such as materials that must be identified by sensitive functions and have characteristics different from those of humans. This part does not address the emission requirements of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
