Scope

This document describes a method for determining the fiber content in a two-component mixture of polyarylene dioxide fibers after removing non-fiber substances using chemical analysis methods. This document is applicable to two-component mixtures of polyarylene dioxide fibers with certain protein fibers (wool, silk, etc.), regenerated cellulose fibers (Lyocell fibers, Modal fibers, viscose fibers, etc.), polyester fibers, polyamide fibers, polyvinyl alcohol fibers, certain modified polyacrylonitrile fibers, polyurethane elastic fibers, acetate fibers, triacetate fibers, polylactic acid fibers, natural cellulose fibers (cotton, flax, ramie), polyimide fibers, polyethylene fibers, carbon fibers, ortho-aromatic polyamide fibers, and meta-aromatic polyamide fibers.
