GB/T 2910.6-2009 Textiles—Quantitative chemical analysis—Part 6:Mixtures of viscose or certain types of cupro or modal or lyocell and cotton fibres(method using formic acid and zinc chloride)
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 2910 specifies the method for determining the content of viscose fibers, certain cuprammonium fibers, modal fibers, or lyocell fibers mixed with cotton fibers after removing non-fibrous substances by using the formic acid/zinc chloride method. If cuprammonium fibers, modal fibers, or lyocell fibers are present in the sample, it is necessary to test in advance whether they can be dissolved in the reagent.
This part is not applicable to mixtures in which the cotton fibers have been severely chemically degraded, nor to mixtures in which viscose fibers, cuprammonium fibers, modal fibers, or lyocell fibers contain durable finishing agents or reactive dyes that cannot be completely removed, resulting in their inability to be completely dissolved.
