Scope

This part of GB/T 19314 specifies the component dimensions of rudders installed on small boats with a hull length of not more than 24 m, measured according to ISO 8666. This part is only applicable to monohull boats.
This part does not specify the performance requirements of rudder control.
This part only considers the pressure loads acting on the rudder due to the operation of the small boat. The loads acting on the rudder or the rudder post (if installed) due to stranding or docking need to be considered separately.
Note: The component dimensions obtained in this part are mainly applicable to recreational boats, including rental boats.
