This document specifies the product classification, technical requirements, and test methods for industrial acrylonitrile; sampling and inspection rules; marking, labeling, and accompanying documents; packaging, transportation, and storage.
This document applies to acrylonitrile produced by the acetylene oxidation method. This product is mainly used as a raw material for the production of synthetic fibers (including carbon fibers), plastics, cyano-rubber, acrylic resins, paints, adhesives, amides, adiponitrile, and pharmaceuticals.
