Scope

This standard specifies the inspection methods and requirements for lithium primary batteries and storage batteries, in order to ensure the safety of the batteries during transportation (not during recycling or disposal). The requirements specified in this standard do not apply to situations where exemptions are allowed according to China's regulations or relevant laws (see 7.3).
