Scope

This standard specifies the basic process of thermal treatment process simulation for large forged steel parts, the technical specifications for numerical simulation of thermal treatment processes, the technical specifications for physical simulation of thermal treatment processes, safety and hygiene requirements, and thermal treatment process simulation reports.
This standard is applicable to the simulation of quenching, tempering, annealing, and normalizing processes for large forged steel parts used in heavy equipment in industries such as energy, metallurgy, and transportation. It is not applicable to chemical heat treatment and surface heat treatment processes.
