Scope

This part of GB/T 9978 specifies the test procedures for determining the fire resistance performance of non-load-bearing vertical partition components that have been subjected to fire and meet the conditions of this part. It is not applicable to curtain walls (non-load-bearing partition walls suspended at the bottom of floor slabs) and partition walls with glass inserts (or with doors). When the structure of the untested building components meets the conditions specified in the direct application scope given in this part, the results of the fire resistance test of the components that have undergone the fire resistance test can be applied to similar untested building components.
