GB/T 9978.9-2008 Fire-resistance tests—Elements of building construction—Part 9:Specific requirements for non-loadbearing ceiling elements
Basic Information
Scope
The part of GB/T 9978 specifies the test procedures for determining the fire resistance performance of non-load-bearing ceiling components exposed to fire at the lower part. The fire resistance performance of such ceiling components is not affected by any building components above them. This part is applicable to non-load-bearing ceiling components, including self-supporting ceilings, suspended ceilings, and simply supported ceilings. When the structure of the untested building components meets the conditions specified in the direct application scope of this part, the fire resistance performance results of the components that have undergone fire resistance tests in accordance with this part can be applied to similar untested building components. This part is not applicable to ceilings used as horizontal fire separation components to protect the load-bearing components above them. The fire resistance performance of such ceiling components can be tested in accordance with GB/T 9978.5.
