GB/T 9978.6-2008 Fire-resistance tests—Elements of building construction—Part 6:Specific requirements for beams
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 9978 specifies the test methods to be followed when determining the fire resistance performance of beams. Under normal circumstances, beams are subjected to fire on their bottom and two sides. When the beams are subjected to fire on all four sides or on fewer than three sides, the fire exposure conditions should be modified as necessary. As part of the floor structure, beams should be tested together with the floor structure in accordance with the relevant provisions of GB/T 9978.5 and evaluated for their integrity and/or thermal insulation performance. When the structure of the untested building components meets the conditions specified in the direct application scope given in this part, the fire resistance performance results of the components that have undergone fire resistance tests in accordance with the provisions of this part can be applied to similar untested building components. For general guidelines on the test methods in this part, see Appendix A.
