This standard specifies the identification and counting methods for Bifidobacterium.
This standard is applicable to the identification and counting of pure Bifidobacterium strains. This standard is applicable to the identification of strains that only contain a single Bifidobacterium species in food. This standard is applicable to the counting of Bifidobacterium species in food, that is, food may contain one or more different Bifidobacterium species.
