Scope
This standard specifies the terminology, structure, marking, technical requirements, inspection, labeling, packaging, storage, and transportation of general-purpose fabric-core conveyor belts (referred to as "general conveyor belts") used on flat or trough rollers.
This standard applies to general-purpose fabric-core conveyor belts with rubber or plastic cover layers.
This standard does not apply to conveyor belts for special purposes such as heat resistance, cold resistance, oil resistance, flame retardance, acid and alkali resistance, and food conveyance, nor does it apply to light conveyor belts specified in ISO 21183-1[1].
