Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols, specimens, specimen preparation, tensile test, impact test, hardness test, macro acid etching test, result evaluation and re-inspection, and test report for the cross-joint test of steel structures.
This standard is applicable to the cross-joint test of steel structures with right-angle fillet welds or combination welds used in engineering construction. The cross-joint test of nearly orthogonal steel structures can be used for reference.
