Scope

This document specifies the test method for the adhesive bearing capacity of different lubricating oils on test gears under specific test conditions, and the comparison method for the adhesive bearing capacity of different gears under the same test conditions, including the test purpose, test equipment, test types, failure evaluation, test steps, and test reports. This document is applicable to high-temperature adhesive damage tests caused by the rupture of lubricating oil films on gear surfaces due to loads and gear surface sliding under oil lubrication conditions. This document is not applicable to cold adhesive damage caused by excessive gear surface sliding speed, severe eccentric loading, or insufficient lubrication under lower gear surface sliding speeds.
