Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for light-fast preoriented polyamide 6 filament (abbreviated as POY).
This standard applies to preoriented filament processed from polyamide 6, with a linear density range of 12.0 dtex to 480.0 dtex, and a single filament linear density of 1.0 dtex to 6.0 dtex. It covers light-fast preoriented filament with trilobal and triangular cross-sections. Other types of light-fast preoriented polyamide 6 filament can be used as a reference for implementation.
