Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for thermal-mechanical fatigue testing of single-axial loaded metal specimens under strain control. This standard is applicable to tests under constant mechanical strain and temperature cycling conditions, corresponding to any constant cyclic strain ratio and constant temperature-mechanical strain phase difference. The number of cycling cycles is usually considered within the scope of low-cycle fatigue, i.e., the fatigue life Nf≤105.
