Scope
This standard specifies the scope of application, requirements, test methods, marking and user manuals, packaging, transportation, and storage for intraocular lens implantation systems.
This standard applies to integrated (preloaded) or separate intraocular lens implantation systems (hereinafter referred to as implantation systems: including injection syringes, introduction heads, and other components). The implantation system is used to fold and inject foldable intraocular lenses into the lens capsule or ciliary sulcus after cataract removal or during refractive eye surgery.
