YY/T 0196-2005 Disposable ECG electrodes
YY/T 0196-2005 Disposable ECG electrodes
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the minimum requirements for the marking, safety, and performance of single-use electrodes used for diagnosing electrocardiograms or electrocardiographic monitoring. Any single-use electrocardiographic electrode system consisting of sensing elements and electrolytes (see 3.4) is included within the scope of this standard. Active electrodes, needle electrodes, reusable (non-single-use) electrodes, electrodes used for energy transmission, and electrodes primarily designed to measure physiological electrical signals other than electrocardiograms (for example, electrodes used for non-electrocardiographic purposes in sleep apnea monitoring, such as resistance tracing) are not included within the scope of this standard. Requirements for electrolyte composition are also not within the scope of this standard.
