Scope

This document specifies the requirements for the use of forging equipment and accessories for forging large forged steel parts, the manufacture of steel ingots, forging processes, forging operations, risk control during forging, and recordkeeping and inspection.
This document applies to the forging of large forged steel parts with a weight of 150 tons or more, and a single forged part weighing 90 tons or more, using materials such as Ni2, Ni3, Ni4 series rotors, Cr2, Cr3, Cr4 series support rollers, 12Cr2Mo1, 12Cr2Mo1V container materials, and 20MnNiMo nuclear power materials (see Appendix A for the chemical composition of the material grades). For large forged steel parts made of other material grades, this document can be referenced for forging implementation.
