GB/T 42695-2023 Textiles—Quantitative chemical analysis—Mixtures of kapok with certain other fibers
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes a method for determining the fiber content in a mixture of cotton and certain other fibers after removing non-fiber substances by chemical analysis. This document is applicable to mixtures of cotton and certain natural protein fibers (silk, sheep's wool, other animal hair fibers), certain natural cellulose fibers (cotton, flax, ramie), certain regenerated cellulose fibers (viscose fibers, modal fibers, lyocell fibers, cuprammonium fibers), polyester fibers, polypropylene fibers, polyethylene fibers, polyamide fibers, polyacrylonitrile fibers, certain modified polyacrylonitrile fibers, polyurethane elastic fibers, polyvinyl alcohol fibers, acetate fibers, or triacetate fibers. This document is not applicable to mixtures where the cotton fibers or regenerated cellulose fibers have undergone severe chemical degradation, nor to mixtures containing persistent finishing agents or reactive dyes in cotton that cannot be completely dissolved. Note: The qualitative identification method for cotton is described in Appendix A.
