GB/T 20975.18-2020 Methods for chemical analysis of aluminium and aluminium alloys—Part 18:Determination of chromium content
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 20975 specifies the methods of extraction and separation-diphenylcarbodiimide spectrophotometry, flame atomic absorption spectrometry, and ammonium persulfate oxidation-ammonium ferrous sulfate titration for determining the chromium content in aluminum and aluminum alloys, as well as water extraction-diphenylcarbodiimide spectrophotometry for determining the hexavalent chromium content in aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This part is applicable to the arbitration determination of chromium content and hexavalent chromium content in aluminum and aluminum alloys. The determination range of chromium by extraction and separation-diphenylcarbodiimide spectrophotometry is 0.0001% to 0.60%; the determination range of chromium by flame atomic absorption spectrometry is 0.010% to 0.60%; the determination range of chromium by ammonium persulfate oxidation-ammonium ferrous sulfate titration is 2.00% to 23.00%; and the determination range of hexavalent chromium by water extraction-diphenylcarbodiimide spectrophotometry is 0.0001% to 0.10%.
Note: When the chromium mass fraction is 0.010% to 0.60%, the extraction and separation-diphenylcarbodiimide spectrophotometry is used as the arbitration method.
