GB/T 20975.16-2020 Methods for chemical analysis of aluminium and aluminium alloys—Part 16:Determination of magnesium content
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 20975 specifies the CDTA titration method, flame atomic absorption spectrometry, and Na2EDTA titration method for determining the magnesium content in aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This part is applicable to the arbitral determination of magnesium content in aluminum and aluminum alloys. The determination range of the CDTA titration method is 0.10% to 12.00%; the determination range of the flame atomic absorption spectrometry is 0.0020% to 5.00%; and the determination range of the Na2EDTA titration method is 1.00% to 52.00%.
Note: When the magnesium mass fraction is greater than 0.10% to 5.00%, the flame atomic absorption spectrometry is used as the arbitral method; when the magnesium mass fraction is greater than 5.00% to 12.00%, the Na2EDTA titration method is used as the arbitral method.
