GB/T 20975.10-2020 Methods for chemical analysis of aluminium and aluminium alloys—Part 10:Determination of tin content
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 20975 specifies the spectrophotometric method with phenylfluorone and the titrimetric method with potassium iodate for determining the tin content in aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This part is applicable to the arbitration determination of tin content in aluminum and aluminum alloys. The measurement range of the spectrophotometric method with phenylfluorone is 0.005% to 2.00%; the measurement range of the titrimetric method with potassium iodate is 0.35% to 55.00%.
The spectrophotometric method with phenylfluorone in this part is not suitable for the determination of aluminum alloys with a bismuth mass fraction of more than 0.20% or a magnesium mass fraction of more than 4.0%.
Note: When the tin mass fraction is greater than 0.35% to 2.00%, the titrimetric method with potassium iodate is used as the arbitration method.
